Horrifying bodycam footage shows the moment a gunman is shot by Chicago cops after he allegedly held a woman hostage in an apartment.

Three videos from the April 11 hostage situation were posted by the Civilian Office of Police Accountability on Monday.

In the first video, officers are seen raiding an apartment building on the Near West Side of Chicago as they look for the gunman who was later identified by police as 19-year-old Marcos Malvais.

Authorities are seen securing an upstairs area before heading downstairs in the apartment.

'Come on! Just let me [see] your hands, man,' an officer says in the second video. 'Come on man, let her go! It's not worth going to jail, man!'

The officer then shouted at the suspect: 'Come on! Just let me (see) your hands, man,' the officer continues. 'Come on man, let her go! It's not worth going to jail, man! Come on!'

'Just drop your weapon and walk out!' another officer yells.

Gunshots are heard and the woman starts to scream. Sgt Joseph Menoni was the officer who saw the woman being dragged into the bathroom.

Malvais was wounded by one of the shots, but it's unclear how many times he was shot. He was then arrested and pulled out of the bathtub by the officers

According to the Chicago Tribune, Menoni walked into the bathroom with his gun drawn and saw the victim on the bathroom floor as Malvais crouched in a bathtub.

Menoni reportedly saw Malvais raise his arm and point a semi-automatic handgun at him.

In one of the videos, Menoni's body camera footage shows him appear to fire his weapon at Malvais before the camera shuts off.

Three more gunshots are heard in another officer's video.

'Let me see your hands!' an officer shouts as the woman continues to scream. 'Let me see your hands!'

Malvais was wounded by one of the shots, but it's unclear how many times he was shot.

He was then arrested and pulled out of the bathtub by the officers.

Malvais, who was treated for his injuries at a local hospital, has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, home invasion, aggravated kidnapping, armed robbery and unlawful use of a weapon.

He is being held without bail in the Cook County Jail.
