The Aluminum Association hosted leaders from the fellow aluminium associations around the world in a meeting in Nashville, TN on the concluding day of the ALUMINUM USA trade show.

The group discussed opportunities to highlight the report from earlier this year by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), “Measuring Distortions in International Markets: The Aluminium Value Chain”. The global industry leaders also discussed recent changes in global trade flow patterns for aluminium and aluminium products. Leaders from Europe, Canada, Russia, South Africa, Austria, Brazil, Australia, U.S., Japan and Norway all participated in the discussion.

ALUMINUM USA is a biennial industry trade event covering the entire value chain from upstream (mining, smelting) via midstream (casting, rolling, extrusions) to downstream (finishing, fabrication). ALUMINUM USA offers a platform for leading suppliers and industry professionals to come together for meetings, exhibition, cutting-edge conference and educational programming and technology-based networking opportunities.

This year’s ALUMINUM USA show took place on September 12-13, 2019 at Nashville, TN's Music City Center. About 2,500 industry professionals, including decision-makers from aluminium manufacturing and processing, distributors and industry associations, technology and equipment providers, leading suppliers of raw materials semi-finished and finished products, extruders, surface treatment gathered together for various business and knowledge opportunities.

ALUMINUM USA 2019 was organized by Reeds Exhibition in collaboration with The Aluminum Association. The Aluminum Association’s Casthouse Safety Workshop and Complimentary Technical Conference also took place during the event.
