A pregnant mother of three recently shocked people all over the world when Facebook photos of her showing off her baby bump went viral and caught the attention of the police.

The North Carolina woman named Natasha Kirkland took a photo showing off her baby bump and posted it on her Facebook page. At first no one seemed to notice anything odd about the photo, until people on Facebook began pointing out that a syringe and a spoon could be seen sitting on a stool in the background, insinuating that she had been doing heroin while pregnant.

At the time, Natasha was pregnant with her fourth child. Not long after the photo was taken, she was arrested for credit card fraud, driving with a revoked license and more. Although she was not charged with possession of drugs or drug paraphernalia, the evidence in the background was enough to cause a storm of uproar on her Facebook as well as in her community.

Not only did the photo show evidence of drug use, but the photo also showed a band around her arm, indicating that she had been doing heroin. When the photo went viral, Kirkland said that her Facebook page had been hacked, and that the photo was taken a year previous.

It has not been confirmed whether the photo was taken the year before or not, but the photo still remains astounding and disturbing.

Kirkland admitted that she did have a drug problem in the past, but is now living a clean and sober life for the sake of her children. After her arrest, Kirkland made a Facebook post claiming that her children had been taken away and that the picture had ruined her life.

Heroin is a deadly, highly addictive drug. Using it during pregnancy can lead to all sorts of high risk pregnancy complications. We hope that Kirkland got the help she needed and that she has learned her lesson through this disturbing ordeal.
