AMSET to host back to school event

The Art Museum of Southeast Texas will be hosting a back to school event on August 11, information from AMSET said.

The event, Free Family Arts Day: Don't mess with Texas, Mess with Art, will begin at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and will feature Sonny the Birdman and his parrots.

Free face painting and ballpark-style food will be available along with a raffle to win baskets full of art supplies and backpacks full of school supplies.
