Ex-Texas substitute accused of taking teens out of class to drink
A former Willis High School substitute teacher was arrested Wednesday and charged with purchasing and providing alcohol to a minor, officials with the Montgomery County Constable Precinct 1 said.
Shadrick Mi Kael Jones, 22, is accused of taking a group of six female students from Willis High School to the Woodlands Mall on Jan. 28. and allegedly supplying them with alcohol, authorities said.
Upon returning to campus Jan. 28, school administration detected the girls were intoxicated, officials said. An investigation was launched Jan. 31 following the incident.
The female students ranged in age from 15 to 17 and were in the 10th and 11th grades, officials said. The girls voluntary left with Jones around 8:45 Jan. 28 and returned around 1:30 p.m., officials said.
