A man suspected in a home invasion was found in critical condition after injuring himself while fleeing through a window.
Deputies were called to the 1200 block of 4th Street in Nome after a woman reported a crime at her home, according to information from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
Reports say a man arrived at the house, where he was approached outside by another man that used a gun to force him inside the residence. The suspect then demanded money from the man and a woman that lived in the home.
The male resident was able to disarm the suspect while the woman called 911, the department said.
The robber jumped through a window in the back of the house, cutting his arm.
