Fans can get the first in-person look at the James Harden-Russell Westbrook combination Sept. 30 when the Rockets open the 2019-20 preseason with an exhibition against the Shanghai Sharks at Toyota Center.
The Rockets will play two of their five preseason games at home, facing the Spurs in a preseason game Oct. 16 at Toyota Center.
After the home exhibition against Shanghai, the Rockets will travel to Tokyo, Japan for a pair of preseason games against the defending champion Toronto Raptors. Games will be played on Oct. 8 and Oct. 10 at the Saitam Super Arena, which holds 37,000 fans for basketball.
The Rockets wrap up the preseason with a game at Miami on Oct. 18.
The NBA is expected to release the regular season schedule later this summer.
