Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn gets back on track
When Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn lined up to kick at Lucas Oil Stadium last Sunday, his technique and confidence resembled how he operated last season when he led the NFL in scoring.
After a rocky start to the season that included four missed extra points, Fairbairn delivered a resurgent performance in a road loss to the Colts. After ironing out holding issues with punter Bryan Anger and working overtime on his fundamentals, Fairbairn made all three field goals as he connected from 47, 31 and 26 yards and made his only extra point attempt.
"It was good," Fairbairn said. "I'm lucky to have great teammates and great coaches that never blinked an eye. They said to keep at it, keep working and keep it going."
