Texans work out veteran corner Trevor Williams
The Texans worked out former Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Trevor Williams, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.
A Baltimore native, Williams played collegiately at Penn State, where he played for Texans coach Bill O'Brien and was an honorable-mention All-Big Ten Conference selection and recorded 84 tackles and five interceptions.
He went undrafted and signed with the Chargers.
Williams is 5-11, 191 pounds and has run the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds.
Placed on injured reserve with the Chargers in September, he was released by them and claimed by the Cardinals in October before being released this week. Williams has 110 career tackles and three interceptions, but no statistics in two games this year.
