After closing its Westport store in October 2016, as of early November Pier One Imports had already decked out its Connecticut Avenue location in Norwalk, Conn. with holiday decorations. Along the city's main retail thoroughfares, about 30 percent of stores showed outward appearances of sprucing up for the holidays. less

What’s New: Beaumont Pier One starts going out of business sale
The Pier One store in Beaumont has started its going out of business sale as the home decor chain shutters locations across the country.
The store is advertising up to 30% on all items in-store or online, but isn’t currently accepting pickup orders for items that have to be delivered to the store.
Pier One filed for bankruptcy in February and had a court-ordered auction scheduled for March, but it was canceled after lack of interest. The company has requested to liquidate all of its 540 store which have been gradually reopening as state’s lift COVID-19 precautions
The chain was already in a tight spot before the pandemic, but had hoped to strengthen after reorganizing in bankruptcy by closing half of its 936 stores still open at the beginning of the year.
