New offers and #TopGroupSZN continues

NEW OFFERS

Four new offers went out from James Franklin and his staff this past week.

Tate Ratledge
Thankful to receive an offer from Penn State! #WeAre

Dakota Thomas
Beyond blessed to receive a offer from @PennStateFball @coachseider @ChadSimmons_ #BIG10 #YPLElite

2020 four-star offensive tackle Tate Rutledge and three-star wide receiver Dakota Thomas, both Georgia natives, earned offers from the Nittany Lions. As of yet, they’ve yet to make it to campus though, but we’ll see if anything is there in the coming weeks.

The other two offers went to a pair of teammates from Manassas, Virginia.

Tyleik Williams
This is a B1G one!! Just received an offer from THE Penn State University. @c4_training

shawn
Blessed and honored to receive my first big 10 offer from the pennstate UNIVERSITY #weare @c4_training #offernumber3

Class of 2021 defensive end Tyleik Williams and class of 2022 linebacker Shawn Murphy are the two Stonewall Jackson products that picked up offers. Both of these recruitments are in their infancies, but with the amount of success Penn State has recruiting Virginia, you have to believe they will be a big factor in both recruitments.

ANTON HARRISON’S TOP SIX

On Monday night, four-star offensive lineman Anton Harrison released his top six.

Harrison, a Washington D.C. native, last visited Happy Valley for Penn State’s win over Maryland back in November. He also camped for the staff last summer, and very well could pop up on campus again some time this spring.

COMMITS HIT THE CAMP SCENE

On Sunday afternoon, Rivals 3 Stripe Camp made a stop in South Florida. At the event, four-star commit Derek Wingo took home linebacker MVP honors.

Rob Cassidy and Woody Wommack of Rivals noted that Wingo has visibly grown and gotten bigger over the course of the last year. Wingo also excelled in coverage on Sunday, while showing some of the best feet of any linebacker in the country. You can read a complete recap of the event here.

Also on Sunday, quarterback commit Micah Bowens competed at Under Armor Camp in LA.

More of Penn State commit Micah Bowens. @BSDtweet

There is no denying the athleticism of Bowens. His passing, however, still has room for improvement. Attending camps such as this is a great opportunity for Bowens to work with on his passing, while also showcasing his talents.
