Authorities rescued two people from the James River amid high-than-normal water levels.
The Richmond Times Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/2rK3c8U ) that a man and a woman were rescued from the river in separate incidents on Friday.
Authorities say a woman was found floating downstream without a watercraft or floatation device Friday morning. She was conscious and breathing when she was rescued from the water.
Later Friday, officials say a man who was on a run on the Pipeline Trail was overtaken by high waters. Officials say he was not injured.
A flood warning is in effect until Sunday for the Richmond portion of the James River.
