Indian skipper Virat Kohli is just 29-year-old yet the cricketer has broken many records in the game of fame. It was recently when the cricketer completed his 50th International century in style in the first test match against Sri Lanka then in the second Test match the cricketer equals the record of Rahul Dravid by completing his 5th Test double century in the longest format of the game. Now in the first inning of the third Test match against Islander Virat Kohli completed his 5000 runs in the longest format of the game. By doing so the cricketer becomes 11th overall Indian to achieve this feat.
Indian captain Virat Kohli also become the joint the 14th fastest to reach this landmark, 11th overall Indian and fourth quickest from Indian side to reach this landmark.



Cricket great and former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar (95) was the fastest Indian to reach the landmark of 5000 runs in the longest format of the game followed by Virender Sehwag (99) and Sachin Tendulkar (103). After Virat Cheteshwar is the next in line to reach this landmark.
In the series decider Test match between India and Sri Lanka at Feroz Shah Kotla cricket stadium, Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first. The Indian squad is leading the series with 1-0. After the dramatic draw of the first test match. Virat Kohli's boys thrashed Islanders in the second Test match with an inning and 239 runs.
