It was recently when the cricketer completed his 50th International century in style in the first test match against Sri Lanka then in the second Test match the cricketer equals the record of Rahul Dravid by completing his 5th Test double century in the longest format of the game. Now in the first inning of the third Test match against Islander Virat Kohli completed his 5000 runs in the longest format of the game. By doing so the cricketer becomes 11th overall Indian to achieve this feat.

Indian captain Virat Kohli also become the joint the 14th fastest to reach this landmark, 11th overall Indian and fourth quickest from Indian side to reach this landmark.
