To get a job is one of the primary concerns of people. Some would even go as far as garnering the good grades and awards in college so they can prove themselves worthy of decent jobs after they graduate.

But apparently, earning a degree isn’t a sure fire way to guarantee that you will get a job later on.

Robert Gold may have just been lucky. He was innocently walking down the street one day when he saw a biker bumped by a truck.

Of course, he could have just left the guy there wounded, but because of his kind heart, he decided to jump in and help.

When he was a kid, his father had already taught him how to create a tourniquet. So that was what he did when he saw the guy injured.

It took a while for medics to arrive, but when they did, they said that if Robert didn’t help the victim, then the biker would never have made it. Right after the incident, Robert became an overnight sensation.

His name was all over the news. One day, James Menor, the American Medical Response’s recruiter, saw the news. He was impressed with Robert’s skills. The next day, he asked for the boy’s details and decided to call him. He then offered Robert with a scholarship and a job waiting for him after he graduates.

Of course, as a teenager, Robert still hasn’t figured out what he wants to be when he grows up, but he knows that he is dedicated to helping and rescuing people. Since that is something he will surely be doing when he accepts the offer, he ecstatic to start his new life.
