Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Caris LeVert has looked like a budding star in his third season in the NBA. Unfortunately,. that development could be on hold.
LeVert suffered what appeared to be an absolutely brutal right leg injury in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It happened when he went up to contest a shot and landed awkwardly.
LeVert’s right ankle/lower leg wound up being bent at an angle it shouldn’t ever be bent at. He stayed down on the ground for a while and was eventually taken off the court on a stretcher.

LeVert entered tonight’s game averaging 19.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest. He was playing like a potential All-Star.
We’re hoping LeVert’s injury isn’t as bad as it looks, but we doubt that is the case. Just a brutal turn of events for the former Michigan star.
