A Simsbury woman who volunteered with a church group to serve meals to the homeless in Hartford died April 13 due to complications from COVID-19, according to her obituary.
Joan (Butler) Dorman, 88, died at John Dempsey UConn Hospital in Farmington, her obituary said.
“Joan always had a smile and made everyone she met feel welcome and special. She will be fondly remembered for her ‘Good Morning To You Song’ she serenaded her children and other friends/family members (with) at the start of the day,” her obitauary said.
Dorman could often be found watching Boston Celtics games from the comfort of her favorite recliner.
