Curbed Boston

It’s not uncommon to find such cavernous spaces in Boston’s norther neighbor—but the prices!

The 1,001-square-foot Unit 120 at 60 Dudley Street in Chelsea is a great example of the sorts of capacious lofts that can be found in the converted manufacturing and warehouse buildings in Boston’s northern neighbor.

The one-bedroom, one-bathroom has 13-foot ceilings made from trussed oak that’s at least a century old. The setup makes for one airy home.

And—at least by Boston standards—not that expensive. Unit 120 is asking $489,000 through Boston Harbor Real Estate’s Jeffrey Bowen after an $11,000 price-chop. A similarly sized expanse a few miles south would run to well over $500,000, if not $1 million. What’d you think?
