Yoliber del Carmen Montiel, 23 years old, showed from the first moment- that she was not fond of her daughter, a few days after she was born she gave it to one of her sisters, Daniela Montiel, to take charge of her, these aunt's care lasted until three weeks, when the woman looked for the little one with the excuse that she would buy her clothes and treat her like her real mother.
However, her words were not met, the little Johana Carolina Montiel Montiel, was subjected to frequent abuse during that time. Neither attended as it was due, the grandmother of the girl prepared meals to prevent her from dying.
When the boyfriend arrived at the house he found the little girl on the floor, he checked it and realized that she was unconscious, went to one of the rooms to look for his partner and found her asleep, he warned her, but she only answered him that she's hurt.
Minutes later, the pregnant woman contacted her partner's mother, Dilia Ferrer, whom she tried to convince to take the injured girl to the hospital, but was not successful.
Finally, she took the girl and asked Gustavo's sister to accompany her in case of any inconvenience. They took her to the Chiquinquirá Hospital in Maracaibo, where the little girl died shortly after her admission. In the health center they found that she was attacked, presented bruises, bites and abrasions in several areas of her body.
At the health center arrived the police, they were taken to Yoliber and her sister-in-law, the mother acknowledged having bitten the child "because I had nothing to eat." At 1:00 am that same day, the sister-in-law was released for determining that she had nothing to do with the act.
The girl walked to the subway station of Maracaibo in El Varillal, asked for a borrowed telephone from a shopkeeper in a commercial establishment and called her mother to tell her what had happened. The woman has two other children, a five-year-old child from a first relationship, and a one-year-old baby with Gustavo, her partner, of whom she was also pregnant.
