These sisters have been looking for their mother for 40 years. And then a miracle happened!

Foxx updates

Starla Medoc and Ginny Tumi sought their mother for life.

When their father met their mother, he served in the air force in the United States and was in Vietnam. There they got married and moved to America in Ohio.

In 1973, they had a daughter, Starla, and a year later Ginny's second daughter.

But, unfortunately, their parents soon divorced when the girls were one and two years old, respectively, and the father seized full custody of them.

We asked Father many times about our mother, but he never spoke to us about this.

All that we heard about her from Dad is that she does not know how to speak English, because she is a full-blooded secret, "Starla recalls about her late father.

He said that he decided to take us because he saw us as exclusively American women, and he could take care of us and provide our life better than would be handled by this mom.

Ginny and Starla grew up, entered into adulthood and all this time they missed Mama, did not stop thinking about her.

They begged my father to help them find her, but looking back, they do not even now believe that he really did anything to find her.

"He tried to protect us, or maybe he was afraid that he would lose us if there was a mother."

Now sisters like to repeat that their history has three sides: its side, its side and the truth.

Their efforts did not lead to anything. After years of useless searches for databases and phone books, the sisters finally gave up.

They simply had too little information to determine at least an approximate point on the world map, where to look for it ... They both lived to be 40 years old, but they did not find Mom

Afterwards, at the end of 2016, Ginny received a message from an unfamiliar page on Facebook. The first thing that was in that message came to her eyes: the attached file - a children's photo of her and Starla, which was in their album.

How did this stranger get a photo? And what did he want?

The new husband of Lani, Mark - that was this stranger!

It turned out that they now live in Pueblo, Colorado. And, of course, Lani, as well as girls (now women), never stopped thinking about her long-lost daughters.

All she had was a picture of two babies together. She carried it with her for 40 years. In that message, Mark described how Lani still falls asleep with tears of bitterness in her eyes, with thoughts of her "babes."

That's why Mark finally made up his mind and sat down at the computer. He did not have much information to help, but he began to look. The Internet is an amazing thing: in a few hours he went on the obituary of John Thompson - their father.

Then he found Jenny on Facebook and saw this photo, exactly the same as the one that his wife had put in her purse so long ago and still never parted with her.

He ran for Lani, and when he showed her, you can only imagine her reaction ...

A few days later they booked tickets to Kansas City to finally meet with Lani's daughters, whom she had not seen for 42 years.

In their eyes, there was not a second of doubt when they first met at the airport. She ran to them, and they, all three in tears, long stood embracing.

Immediately sensing that they were finally in the family circle, they began to make plans.

"I want to cook dinner for them ... I've waited so many years that I will have such an opportunity," Lani says, beaming with happiness.

Miracles happen. They do happen. Never bury in yourself a hope. A miracle can happen not when you are waiting for it, but it will definitely happen. I vouch for my own example! Says Ginny.
