A social media user has taken to her timeline to share an inspiring story of how her dad defied all odds to achieve great academic and career success even after being written off on different occasions.
According the user on the handle ‘Queen Bri’, her father made 1.9 GPA in High School and was told he wouldn’t amount to anything but he went ahead to become an attorney. The man further surged ahead to become the first black District Attorney of Fort Bend.
“My Dad made a 1.9 GPA in high school and was told that he wouldn’t be anything. He became an attorney. He was doubted again as many told him that he wouldn’t be district attorney because he’s black. Now he has been elected as Fort Bend’s FIRST BLACK DISTRICT ATTORNEY!!” Queen Bri proudly wrote.
Someone once said, ‘where there is a will, there is always a way’. Congratulations to her dad.
