MLB wrap: Indians top Astros in 14 innings as Gerrit Cole-Trevor Bauer duel turns into marathon All eyes were on starters Gerrit Cole and Trevor Bauer at Progressive Field Sunday, and they both pitched well in their much-anticipated grudge match. Yet in the end, unheralded outfielder Greg Allen emerged as the hero with a walkoff home run in the 14th inning to give Cleveland a 10-9 win over the Astros. While Allens first home run of the season provided the thrilling finish, earlier in the game Cole and Bauer gave fans the pitchers duel many had expected. The Indians bullpen proved equally inept, giving up five runs in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into extra innings. Astros DH Evan Gattis hit a pair of home runs and drove in four in the loss to the Indians.
