NHL free agency news: Sharks, Tomas Hertl agree to 4-year contract Tomas Hertl is staying with the Sharks. San Jose announced Monday it has signed the 24-year-old center, who was a restricted free agent, to a four-year contract. The contract will pay Hertl around $5.5 million per season, according to a report from The Athletic.
