Patrick Peterson requests trade from Cardinals, report says Patrick Peterson wants out of Arizona. The All-Pro cornerback reportedly has asked the Cardinals to trade him by the Oct. 30 deadline, according to ESPNs Adam Schefter. If Peterson is traded, the Cardinals would have $11 million in cap space cleared up. However, Arizona has blatantly said it is not willing to trade Peterson at this time. Peterson, 28, is under contract with the Cardinals through the 2020 season.
