Michelle Obama, the wife of former US President Barack Obama, said she did not join large groups during her university days.
Michel pointed out that this was because of her brown skin when she was at Princeton University.
Michelle added on her official Web site that she joined the university in the early 1980s.
She explained that she was a working class in Chicago, unlike the rest of the students of the university "white."
The wife of the former US president confirmed that she had found a number of friends who had increased her confidence in herself.
Obama considered going to university "hard work, but I met people every day whose life changed with education."
