Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has made contact with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp after their Champions League draw.
Gundogan sent a text to his former Borussia Dortmund coach.
It simply read “bis bald".
The pair once worked together at Borussia Dortmund and will go head-to-head in a tantalising Champions League quarter-final in just over a fortnight between the two remaining Premier League clubs in the competition.
Liverpool boss Klopp explained: “Bis bald pretty much means, 'See you soon' and I used a scouse phrase 'See ya'."
