5. Ross Put A Stop To The Reunion Plans
No Friends reunion is possible unless all six leading cast members are on board. Fans became super excited when Lisa Kudrow was asked if she expected Pheobe and friends to return, she let slip, "We have convened, privately, for dinner, and it was great."
Sadly, there's one person who has put a stop to that - David Schwimmer. Known for playing Ross on the show, he revealed on Meghan Kelly Tonight,
"Look, the thing is, I just don’t know if I want to see all of us with crutches (and) walkers."
He added, "I doubt (there will be a reunion). I really doubt it. But thank you for asking, and moving on." Each leading cast member was taking home a staggering $1 million per episode during the final season, so if there is a reunion at least we know it won't be cheap
4. Joey's Mugshot Was Buried So It Wouldn't Go Public
Matt Le Blanc started his acting debut in a Heinz Tomato Ketchup commercial in 1987 which went on to win an award at the Gold Lion Award at Cannes Film Festival. He was tipped for great things but almost lost it all when he was arrested not just once but TWICE for driving under the influence.
The actor confessed to The Daily Telegraph, "When I was young and stupid. I wasn't driving fast, just crooked. The press never got hold of the mugshots. I was lucky."
The Friends cast needed to uphold a squeaky clean image so it's lucky his mugshot was buried by his strict management team. Most fans won't even know this, and he's the only cast member ever to be caught out.
3. Chandler Has "Recurring Nightmares" About A Friends Reunion
Not all cast members are happy about the reunion rumors, and Matthew Perry revealed he has "nightmares" about the thought of it going ahead.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the Chandler actor revealed, "I have this recurring nightmare - I’m not kidding about this. When I’m asleep, I have this nightmare that we do Friends again and nobody cares."
The star who was troubled during his time on the show, added, "(What if) we do a whole series, we come back, and nobody cares about it. So if anybody asks me, I’m gonna say no. The thing is, we ended on such a high. We can’t beat it. Why would we go and do it again?" That's one road he isn't willing to walk down ever again.
2. Monica's Intensive Cosmetic Procedure Was Kept Hush
The pressures of becoming so famous got to Monica's insecurities, and so she had fillers throughout her time on the show. It's unknown if this is something the producers would have allowed her to do, so the procedures would have needed to be kept hush hush. Now she has left the show, Courtney Cox told New Beauty that she has since had the work reversed. The Cougar Town star said, "I’ve had all my fillers dissolved. I’m as natural as I can be."
She added, "I feel better because I look like myself. I think that I now look more like the person I was.”
She's not the first actress to turn to anti-aging options to help boost her self-esteem, but now she's supposedly a lot happier. "Everything’s going to drop. Those aren’t wrinkles – they’re smile lines. I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realize that fillers are not my friend," she said.
1. Phoebe Hated Playing Guitar And Decided To Quit
Could there even be such a thing as Phoebe Buffay without her guitar and "Smelly Cat" song? Well, the actress Lisa Kudrow tried to put a stop to all as she revealed during the tribute show that she hated playing the instrument.
She said, "I didn't like the guitar. I wasn't getting it. So I think I even asked, 'What if she plays the bongos.'"
The producers then brought in a professional guitar teacher to try and convince the actress to nail the role. It paid off and now she's one of the most iconic (even if not very good) guitarists in popular culture.
The actress has also suffered from the pressures of fame and became paranoid about her personal e-mails being leaked online. She told The Guardian, "Over the years I’ve become much more guarded. I don’t believe anything evaporates once it’s out there. It gets captured by the cloud. E-mails have to be question and answer, no opinion.”
