5. Hibernation mode
If you're only planning to use a bus to travel a few minutes to the next city, bringing a book or some music with you on your short commute is all you really need to make the time fly by. If you're using public transportation to make an hour-long trek to the other side of your metro area, however, you may as well just get comfortable and try to take a power nap!
This guy likely had a long trek ahead of him, so he just sprawled out and tried to make the bus his home.
Instead of simply laying across one row of chairs or slouching a bit while seated, he laid against a railing and blocked the aisle with his outstretched legs, forcing everyone else on the bus to step over his hibernating body if they wished to leave. If that all wasn't enough, his belly also popped right out of his shirt, giving him a hilarious "Winnie the Pooh" look that one passenger just had to take a picture of to show off to their friends!
4. Public meal prep
Most working adults will agree that there simply aren't enough hours in a day. This is even more true for people who have to spend hours every day commuting to work on public transportation! This poor woman was sick of spending her very limited time at home in the kitchen, so instead of waiting until her commute was over to start making dinner... she brought a cutting board with her and started preparing that night's meal right there on public transportation! It'd be one thing if she was cutting up something that smelled nice, but she's dicing up onions and likely bringing her fellow travelers to tears. It's definitely inconsiderate and a bit unconventional, but we really can't blame her for trying to be productive while traveling.
3. Edgar Allen Poe's muse
Remember that Edgar Allen Poe poem "The Raven" that we all had to read in high school? Yeah, well, we think we found the inspiration for that bone-chilling piece of literature! Apparently if you use public transportation, there's a chance you'll come across teenage girls dressed in black from head to toe, with gigantic ravens perched on their knees. This frightening young woman looks like she came straight out of a 2000s Hot Topic advertisement, and will likely be giving us nightmares for the rest of our lives. We give credit to whoever stuck around long enough to take this picture, because if we saw her on our bus, we'd jump out of it immediately. If this is what public transportation looks like, we'll be using it "nevermore."
2. We are the woman on the right
Dogs are basically our favorite creatures on the entire planet, but the majority of dog owners are the absolute worst. An unbelievable number of people shove their furry pets into ridiculous outfits in an attempt to go viral, and while the pictures are often adorable, they also make us cringe and feel really bad for the poor dogs!
The woman in this Reddit picture shoved her tiny pup into a bubbly dress and girly wig so she could take a humiliating selfie of it on the subway.
That'd be a funny enough sight as is, but then you notice the passenger next to her, who isn't even trying to hide how hard she's judging her! That'd totally be us if we saw a dog owner be this extra in public.
1. What is he looking at?
If you think Uggs or Snuggies are weird and unnecessary fashion inventions, you need to check out the Laptop Compubody Sock. This innovative creation allows you to keep your hands and face warm as you navigate the Internet on public transportation.
At least, that's what we think it was intended to be used for.
It's also entirely possible that the Compubody Sock is just a way to look at inappropriate content on your computer while seated next to complete strangers, without them ever realizing what you're really up to. This is another one of those pictures that walks the line between genius and ridiculous, so we aren't sure how to react to it. We just know that if we were sitting on a plane next to a person using this, we'd immediately assume they were watching something filthy.
