The general director of the maternity hospital of the President Estrella Ureña hospital confirmed the abduction of one of two newborn twins in that state health center.
Dr. Juan Ferreras confirmed that the young Noelia Sánchez, who gave birth to twins in the maternity hospital Estrella Ureña, took one of them.
"Any information that can now offer could hinder the investigations carried out by state agencies, so we can not do much more about it," said Ferreras.
Carlita Sánchez, grandmother of the abducted child, stated that yesterday a woman offered to help her daughter to bathe the babies and change their clothes.
"I never thought that woman was going to take one of my granddaughters," said Sanchez.
Last year something similar happened when Mrs. Mary Rosario Cruz pretended to be a nurse and stole a newborn from a minor at Estrella Ureña hospital. The baby was found in the residence of Rosario Cruz, who was brought to justice, along with her husband, for the crime.
