1.

On 22 March 2017 a terrorist attack took place in the vicinity of the Palace of Westminster in London, seat of the British Parliament.

The attacker, 52-year-old Briton Khalid Masood, drove a 4*4 car into pedestrians on the pavement along the south side of Westminster Bridge and Bridge Street, injuring more than 50 people, four of them fatally.

After the car was crashed into the perimeter fence of the Palace grounds, Masood abandoned it and ran into New Palace Yard where he fatally stabbed an unarmed police officer.

He was then shot by an armed police officer and died at the scene.

In April, 2017, A hijacked lorry was driven into crowds on a popular shopping street in Stockholm. More than five people were killed, and 14 were seriously injured. A home-made explosive was found in the lorry after the attacker had abandoned it.

A terrible fire disaster in 2017, The Grenfell Tower fire broke out on 14 June 2017 at the 24-storey Grenfell Tower block of public housing flats in North Kensington, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, West London.

It caused 71 deaths, including one stillbirth, and over 70 injuries. 40 fire engines and more than 200 firefighters went to tackle the blaze. Occupants of 23 of the 129 flats died, but 223 people escaped.

Inquests for all 70 victims have been opened and still being listened to at the Westminster Coroner's Court.

At least 500 people were killed after a mudslide sparked by heavy rain crashed through part of Sierra Leone's capital. Some 2,000 were left homeless as houses were swept away in Regent, in the outskirts of Freetown, while roads turned into rampaging rivers as the mudslide struck.

November, 2017 Italy held a mass funeral for 26 young Nigerian women, some aged just 14, who drowned while trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea from Libya.

The largest evacuation in US History. On September 2017, Florida counties faced mandatory evacuation orders to leave in advance of Hurricane Irma, a devastating storm that caused one of the largest mass exoduses in U.S. history.

On 22 May 2017 a shrapnel-laden homemade bomb was detonated as people were leaving Manchester Arena following a concert by the American singer Ariana Grande. Twenty-three people were killed, including the attacker, and over 500 were injured.

In June, A raging forest fire in central Portugal killed at least 62 people, charring cars and trucks as it swept over roads.Many were caught and burnt alive in their vehicles as they tried to flee the town.

On the night of October 1, 2017, a gunman opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, leaving 58 people dead and 546 injured.

Between 10:05 and 10:15 p.m. PDT, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock of Mesquite, Nevada, fired more than 1,100 rounds from his suite on the 32nd floor of the nearby Mandalay Bay hotel.

About an hour after Paddock fired his last shot into the crowd of 22,000, he was found dead in his room from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

His motive is unknown.

The incident is the deadliest mass shooting committed by an individual in the United States.

Nearly 30 horses burned to death in one of several fires that erupted in Southern California.

The horses were found dead at Rancho Padilla in Sylmar, which was scorched when a fast-moving fire ripped through the area. More than 60 horses were staying at the ranch when the brush fire broke out.

The Padilla family was told to leave immediately, and when they returned the next day after they fire, they found that 29 horses had died.
