It has been a terrible week for White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. At the White House correspondence dinner she was mercilessly taken down by Michelle Wolf who said straight to her face in front of some of the most influential people in the US that she was a liar – and most of the attendees agreed.
Many of the White House press core know that Sarah lies every time she takes the podium and they have started to discount most of what she says and write their own story - corroborated or not.
This has finally caught up with her as the President himself has started to question why she says what she says – but unsurprisingly, he doesn’t want her to lie less, he wants her to lie MORE.
This has become urgent for the President who has been compromised by his ally ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani who unceremoniously threw Trump under the bus. Giuliani stated on conservative talk show Hannity that the President had indeed known about the payoff to Storm Summers. Trump is angry at Giuliani, but it is Sanders who is getting his wrath as she admitted that Giuliani’s statement was correct. Instead of refusing to discuss it, she repeatedly asked the press to read Giuliani’s statement again and again. Exactly what Trump does not want!
Trump doesn’t understand why Sarah didn’t just discredit Giuliani and say he was lying or speaking without the correct information
An insider stated that it is clear that the President doesn’t understand that it is the footage of him on Air Force One denying he knew about the payment that is causing the problem. It has nothing to do with Sarah - but she is getting the blame.
Trump is also angry Sarah has been fodder for comedians, in particular FEMALE comedians. He has a long standing feud with Rosie O’Donnell and is on record stating that he never finds women that funny. For Sarah to be the butt of Michelle Wolf’s jokes and get laughs was the last straw. He wants her gone and soon.
