TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Following Officer Betty Shelby's acquittal for manslaughter, a crowd quickly gathered outside the Tulsa County Courthouse late Thursday.
Holding hands, people shouted "hands up, don't shoot" as they marched to the Mayo Hotel, where they believe Shelby may be inside. KTUL learned Shelby's attorney was inside the hotel, but not Shelby.
Shelby was rushed out a back door of the court following the verdict.

Protesters gathered outside the Mayo, holding signs and shouting "no justice, no peace."
The group marched toward 5th and Denver where people stood in the streets, blocking traffic. Police lined up on either side of the group, saying over their loudspeakers protesters would be arrested and chemical agents used it they did not disperse.
Shelby was found not guilty of first-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of Terence Crutcher.
