Spain vs Portugal was always deemed to be the tie of the group stages at the World Cup.And it did not disappoint. What a game.
The match-up would eventually finish 3-3, and it is surely a game that will be talked about for many years to come.
The man that would take the headlines, as he has done so many times before, was Cristiano Ronaldo.
At 33-years-old, this is likely to be his last World Cup. But he put in a performance which defied his years.
He got the first of the game with just three minutes played after winning, and then converting a penalty.
The Real Madrid star then notched again just before half-time, only to watch his side go 3-2 down. With time fast running out for Portugal, they needed a hero. And Ronaldo duly produced.
After winning a free-kick 25 yards out with just a few minutes to go, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner had the hopes of a nation on his shoulders.
And he didn't disappoint as he smashed an outrageous dipping effort into the top corner.
Danny Murphy was on commentary duties for the BBC, and he made a comment just prior to Ronaldo's free-kick that he will likely want to regret.
The former Liverpool man clearly doubted Ronaldo's ability to stick the ball in the back of the net, as he stated: "He can't go over the wall."
So what did Ronaldo do?
Of course, he made Murphy eat his words as the winger lashed it over the wall and into the top corner, leaving David de Gea stranded.
