I've been to Itacaré, Bahia, 5 times. The first was in January 2007, when the city was not yet very well known by Brazilians and did not have much structure for tourists. But even so I fell in love - what a paradise! I do not know why it took me so long to go back, but in 2014 I decided that I had spent too much time away from there, and I bought my ticket. With the passing of these 9 years, much has changed. The hotels there grew and improved a lot; the Pituba street, which is the main city for tourists, has evolved and appeared with several new dining options. Until a continuation of Pituba was built, the so-called Passeio da Vila - which has even more gastronomic options and small shops. New receptive options in Itacaré, as well as local tourism agencies have appeared to assist tourists who have come from all over the world. And now, between Pituba and Praia da Concha, we find several options of charming landmarks ready to welcome us.
Itacaré was for a long time a true jewel hidden in the midst of the Atlantic Forest - but that for some time was discovered by nature lovers and fell in the grace of the Brazilians in love with these magical corners of Bahia.
