Singer Lil Mo has tried a lot of different things to fix the infidelity in her marriage to boxer Karl Dargan. They’ve gone on Couples Court, and most recently, tried to work on things on Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition. But nothing says “I’m not serious about any of that” like allowing yourself to be caught on camera asking another woman to tell you that she loves you.
But that’s exactly what happened on a recent episode of Marriage Boot Camp. While the house was getting ready for bed, Dargan went to the kitchen to eat some cereal and started FaceTiming someone who was not Lil Mo (she was upstairs in the bed). Dargan somehow forgot that he was on a reality show with cameras all around him, and proceeded to have an inappropriate conversation:
We want to believe this is all for show and that, by the next episode, we’re going to find out that the woman is a family member or something. That has to be it, because why go on a show to work on your marriage just to do the same old things in front of the world? And who would be foolish enough to do something like this when there are cameras around them 24/7? Perhaps, Mr. Dargan.
But based on Lil Mo’s understandably irate response to the clip on Twitter, there may be nothing fake about it. She told her followers, “I would never disrespect nobody on TV like that especially when i’m tryna fix it. i wouldn’t do nothing sneaky like that. EVER.”
As for Karl, he seems pretty defensive about the whole thing. Probably because he can’t deny or make an excuse for it:
But Mo, who is on her third marriage, seems to have overlooked, or better yet, excused his behavior from the very beginning. When they appeared on Couples Court, he said that he told her he was happily out here, but would try his “best” to do right by the “Superwoman” singer.
“I used to be out here. I used to be out here dealing with multiple women at times, you know, five/six women at one time,” he said. “Basically, I was a thot. I had no intentions of getting married, I had no intentions on ever being with one woman but I was trying to work on it and I told her, listen, I’m out here. It’s not an overnight process but I’ll try the best I can. I slipped up and got caught up.”
And he’s been getting caught up ever since. Run, Mo.
