Snoop Dogg to Star in Play About His Life With Tamar Braxton

Snoop Dogg has gone from gangsta rap to reggae to gospel and is now taking his talents to the theater. The Long beach spitter revealed via Twitter that he is starring in a play based on his life. “Redemption of a Dogg” play will be hitting the road starting October 5th and will be showing in cities like New York, NY, Houston, TX, St. Louis, MO, Atlanta, GA and many more. Snoop will be starring in the play, which was written and directed by Je’Caryous Johnson, alongside Tamar Braxton.

According to the press release, the main character, who is based on Snoop, has to fight “the internal battle one man has between preserving his life-long legacy and losing the love of his life when he is faced with choosing fame and fortune over faith and family.”

Some of Snoop’s greatest hits as well as his latest release, Bible of Love, will serve as the soundtrack for the play. Take a look at the dates below and purchase tickets here.
