Usher and his wife Grace Miguel have ended their marriage after two years.
In a joint statement to US Weekly, the former couple wrote:
“After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple. We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”
A source told US Weekly that the couple, who married in September 2015, have been separated for a few months.
The two began dating in 2009, after Usher divorced his first wife Tameka Foster, the mother of his two children Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely. Usher proposed in January 2015, the two eloped and honeymooned in Cuba.
The news comes days after Usher made reference to a life change via an Instagram post of himself getting an under-chin tattoo.

The news may come as a shock to some as just a few months ago, on their second wedding anniversary, Grace Miguel posted a message that spoke to their commitment to one another in the midst of allegations that the singer had spread herpes to several women.

But as of late, her social media posts have taken on an entirely different tone.

We’re hoping this one goes smoothly. We’ll be sure to keep you abreast of any updates.
