Will pregnancy make Tiffany more or less bougie?

MadameNoire

Last night, the people over at HBO gave us a little something to keep us holding on for another month. The season 3 trailer for “Insecure.” This one, naturally, has more information than the teaser and it has us wondering a few things. Check it out below and then let’s discuss.

Introducing the #InsecureHBO Season 3 trailer. Make all necessary arrangements. August 12 at 10:30PM on @HBO.

Is it good for Issa to be living with Daniel?

As much as I would like for Daniel and Issa to ride off into the sunset, I can’t say that their living together is in the best interest of the relationship. Issa just got over Lawrence two minutes ago, the thought of her living with another man so soon is no bueno. She needs some time to let things breathe.

We all remember how Issa showed on Daniel’s doorstep at the end of the season 2. Personally, I rejoiced. Aside from the cum-shot—which I will forever consider inconsiderate (Idc, Idc), Daniel was clearly the better choice. Not only was he more mature than Lawrence, he seemed to be able to relate to Issa on another, deeper level. And if he didn’t have all of that, the brotha is still fine AF. So the notion that Issa is not sleeping with him is incredible. But it makes for some great sexual tension.

Tiffany is a wild card. Sometimes she offers some pretty salient advice and other times, her elitism gets in the way of us being able to relate to her. Perhaps now that she’ll have more of an increased presence on the show this season, we’ll get to see the real deal about her. I can’t help but wonder if this pregnancy— and the idea of her raising a child— will change her outlook on a few things.

Why is Issa’s money so funny?

Perhaps there’s a detail I’m forgetting. But Issa left her own apartment because of the rent increase. Assuming that she’s saving money by splitting the rent with Daniel—or crashing there for free, she should be able to stack more. Much more. In fact, for months she lived paying the rent on her own. So now that she’s no longer doing that, I’m not really understanding why her money is funny and her change is strange?

What’s Kelli’s job?

As inappropriately as Kelli behaves in these streets (getting fingered under dinner tables), I don’t think I ever considered the possibility that she had a job. And not just any job, one where it seems she has to dress up and sit behind a desk, no less…giving financial advice. Who knew? But honestly, I’m happy to see this side of Kelli.

Does Molly finally get rid of Dro?

Please Jesus! The real question is, is this open marriage thing real or is it just a lie he’s concocted to be able to have sex with Molly?

Will there be some evidence that the ladies are working to get their sh*t together?

Issa is saving money, things at her job seem to be going better, we see Kelli sitting behind a desk, Molly suggests that the whole situation with Dro is that great and Tiffany…well, you never know with Tiffany. But I must admit, it seems like some boss moves are being made.

Will Lawrence make an appearance…do we need him?

Though I do feel some level of attachment to Lawrence and the integral role he played in Issa’s growth and development, I don’t know that I need weekly updates on his life. That being said, if he popped up every three episodes, I wouldn’t be mad.
