Cada game recebeu seis indicações à premiação, que acontece em 7 de dezembro nos Estados Unidos.
Os jogos "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild", "Super Mario Odyssey", "Destiny 2" e "Horizon Zero Dawn" lideram as indicações à premiação Game Awards 2017, organizada nos Estados Unidos pelo produtor Geoff Keighley. Cada game foi indicado em seis categorias. A lista completa foi divulgada nesta terça-feira (14).
O Game Awards 2017 acontece em 7 de dezembro em Los Angeles (EUA). A premiação começa às 21h30, horário de Brasília, e será transmitida pela internet em canais de streaming como YouTube e Twitch.
Além de "Zelda", "Mario" e "Horizon", concorrem na categoria de game do ano, a principal da noite, os títulos "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" e "Persona 5". "Destiny 2", apesar das várias indicações, não está nessa lista. O game de tiro online da Bungie domina em prêmios técnicos.
Em 2016, o grande vencedor do Game Awards foi "Overwatch". Além de game do ano, "Overwatch" venceu na categoria melhor multiplayer. A Blizzard também triunfou e foi escolhida como melhor estúdio/direção de jogo.
