League of Legends - Elo Hell, Guess What!? It Doesn't Exist!

Max's Memes

If you have found your way to my blog and are saying to yourself but Max, I'm stuck in Bronze 5 and its not my fault, then I suggest you keep reading.

Now before I start I'm not saying that sometimes you are not to blame about why you lost a game. You have four teammates who all on their own can lose the game for everyone. However, you need to come to terms with the fact that you are playing a team game and in order to win you must come together as a team. Stop looking at your teammates as obstacles that are making your game harder but look at them for what they actually are, YOUR TEAMMATES!

If you want to really start gaining Elo and climbing through the ranks you need to completely disregard the idea of Elo hell. Stop blaming your inability to win and your mistakes on an "idea". The quicker you can adjust your mindset away from this concept, the quicker you will see results. Once I stopped believing that others were holding me back I quickly climbed from Silver to Diamond.

For those looking for the light at the end of the tunnel i'm sorry to inform you that it doesn't matter how much you climb, it never gets any better! Whether you are bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, master or even challenger, you will constantly have games filled with you and other players making mistakes. I currently sit at Diamond 5 and I can tell you from the bottom of my heart, I have never been in a more frustrating Elo. Despite being in the top 2% of players, the amount of simple errors that are made by summoners is quite honestly laughable. I am not saying I am an exception to this, far from it if I'm honest. However, I have come to understand that we are all only human and will make mistakes and it's how quickly we learn from those mistakes that really show the level of a player.

So please stop using the term Elo hell and actively look to better your game. From every win and every loss, there is something you can take and learn from that game. Stop blaming the troubles you are having on a concept cause I promise you I could watch one of your games and write a list of the things you did wrong. There's some advice for someone actively looking to improve. Re-watch your games and identify the mistakes you are making and then you can work on certain aspects of your game. Or if you really want to improve your game, then I would recommend reading this blog but then again I am biased.
