Man Runs Into Neighbor's Home To Find Two Babies Drowning In A Bathtub. Then He Sees What's Holding Them Down.

A man in Oklahoma managed to save the lives of 3-month-old twins after shooting their father, who was allegedly attempting to drown them.

According to KFOR, the man reportedly shot and killed his neighbor after catching him trying to kill his twin babies in what is being described as a domestic incident.

Police say a man named Leland Foster was allegedly threatening to kill the mother of his children with a knife.

At some point during the argument, a 12-year-old girl inside the home at the time ran out and asked a neighbor for help.

The neighbor, later identified as Cash Freeman, reportedly dashed over to help and discovered Foster trying to drown his 3-month-old twins, boy and a girl, in the bathtub.

Without a moment of hesitation, Freeman pulled out his gun and shot Foster in the back twice to save the children.

Freeman later told investigators that he simply did what was necessary to make sure those babies didn’t get hurt.

Now that the dust is settled, Freeman is worried that he could be in trouble with the law for what he did.

Summer Pierce, a neighbor, said she was shocked to hear that Foster had tried to kill his own children.

“It’s awful because I’ve held the babies and, like, I’ve played with them and I just gave them clothes yesterday," she said.

Summer also does not think Freeman should face criminal charges for protecting the children.

“I think he did the right thing because who knows what would happen, because who knows what would have happened to the babies if he hadn’t intervened. They might not have made it,” she said.

Both babies were later flown to an Oklahoma City hospital for treatment, but they have since been released.

KFOR later shared this heartbreaking story online, where many commenters agreed that Freeman is the hero in this tragic situation.

“Thank goodness the 12 yr old ran for help & the neighbor was able to get there in time. Hopefully this will be an open & shut case- the neighbor did what he had to do to save those babies & probably saved the mother & 12 Yr old as well. They likely would have been next. SMH- killing all these innocent babies... I don't understand this sick world we live in,” one woman wrote.

“He did what he had to do. His conscience is clean but maybe he should be offered a therapy session or two like cops have to do after they had to kill in the line of duty,” another commenter added.
