Salvation Army to hold Easter egg hunt, spaghetti dinner and motorcycle run

The Salvation Army in Hunterdon County is holding a number of events this spring throughout the county.

The Salvation Army will hold an Easter Egg Hunt open to all members of the community, ages 12 and under, starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15.

The group will have more than 2,700 candy stuffed eggs ready for hunting located throughout the Salvation Army's property at 40 East Main St. in Flemington. The event is free, and participants should bring their own baskets.

The group's second annual spaghetti dinner and silent auction will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 12, at at the corps On May 12th,The event will be held from 6- 8:30PM at The Salvation Army at 40 Main St. in Flemington. This event falls during National Salvation Army Week (May 7-13) and will feature a spaghetti dinner, live entertainment, and baskets featuring items from local and national brands. Some of the prizes already acquired include tickets to a Somerset Patriots game, make-up and skincare products from Shiseido, an overnight stay and water park passes to Kalahari Resort in the Poconos, a basket from Flemington's Jersey Mike's sub shop, a gift card to Shaklee and Cocco's Cafe, and more. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. All proceeds from the event will benefit The Salvation Army's programs in Hunterdon County.

The Army's 11th Annual Ride for the Red Shield Motorcycle Run starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 17. The run will feature a two and one-half hour course throughout Hunterdon County. The run will finish at The Salvation Army's Camp Tecumseh in Pittstown. Tickets, which are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, include a T-shirt, access to the ride, a scrabble run, door prizes, and a full BBQ lunch. All proceeds from this event will also benefit The Salvation Army's programs in Hunterdon County.
