WATCHUNG – The Borough Council welcomed the two newest members of the Watchung Police Department as Ryan Kadezabek and Brian Pascoe were sworn in as probationary officers at the council’s Thursday, March 2 meeting.
Mayor Stephen Pote swore in the new officers, and said such moments are typically the “highlight” of council meetings.
“It’s always a proud moment to be introducing two police officers to this borough,” said Pote. “We don’t get to do this very often as we have very tenured officers but I’m proud we had the opportunity to do it today.”
Kadezabek, a Hunterdon Central Regional High School graduate, worked for the New Jersey Department of Corrections in 2014 before joining the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office and completing his training at the Mercer County Police Academy in 2016.
Pascoe, a graduate of Bridgewater-Raritan High School, attended Raritan Valley Community College and worked as a truck driver before entering the Essex County Police Academy. After finishing his basic training in 2015, Pascoe spent two years working with the Lambertsville Police Department.
