The Company
An innovative chemicals company in the Gateshead area that focus on the production of a range of inorganic chemistry products. They are looking to recruit for a Chemicals Production Manager to join their busy team to handle their expanding workload.
The Job
The successful Chemicals Production Manager will work on;
- The leadership of the Production team consisting of 5-10 people, dealing with day to day management in addition to developing them in their career
- Assist with the development of new products, helping the Lab Manager with scientific issues
- Supervise production, including scheduling workloads and escalating any issues that arise
- Ensure production deadlines are met
- Implement 5S and Lean Six Sigma techniques to improve processes
Your Experience
To be considered for the Chemicals Production Manager role you will:
- Have experience in a production/manufacturing focused role within science
- Have proven supervision/management experience
It would be a bonus, but is not required for you to:
- Have a BSc in chemistry or a related subject
- Have experience with 5S or Lean Six Sigma techniques
