  • Develop and maintain comprehensive lifecycle master plans to manage the capacity and capital replacement requirements
  • Manage, coordinate, and communicate planned and unplanned utility outages.
  • Provide mechanical/electrical/civil/reliability engineering support focusing on high/low voltage electrical systems, HVAC systems, asset management systems, and building systems.
  • Lead capital project management activities requiring more than minimal engineering.
  • Consult/advise facilities management organizations on buildings and grounds, and general building code consulting to accepted engineering standards.
  • Responsible for the technical aspects of the maintenance program (standards, set points, ranges) and to identify operational critical equipment to establish maintenance strategies using predictive and preventive techniques.
  • Provide project management functions for assigned projects:
  • Design, planning, and work scope development
  • Estimating and scheduling
  • Bidding and contracting
  • CER development and construction management
  • Develop, maintain and implement construction project commissioning standards
  • Provide periodic project updates/reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for utility distribution and building systems.
  • Troubleshoot advanced systems.
  • External utilities/agencies point of contact.
  • Maintain technical documentation for Facility Management Department as assigned.
  • Owns preventive maintenance program/strategy updating and/or modifying as required. Collaborates with internal and external resources to ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Trains and advises less experienced staff on skills improvement regarding building systems.
  • May administer software that is in direct support of assigned systems.
  • Develops, implements and maintains departmental and company SOPs and P&Ps.
  • Utilize computer programs (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, project specific websites, Access and CAD).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications:

  • BS degree in engineering related field. Experience may be substituted for education.
  • College or trade school courses in HVAC, mechanical operation, sheet metal work, plumbing or electrical trades.

Experience:

  • 6-8 years of related experience.
  • Expert knowledge and skills in all building systems, reading schematics and blueprints, record keeping, math and other areas as specified.
  • May be required to hold state or federal licenses to operate HVAC or associated equipment.
  • Knowledge of project management practices and procedures, standard construction methods, basic design and drawing.
  • Demonstrated successful management of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and community regulations regarding construction.
