Quality Engineer / Specialist (Risk) - Competitive Salary - Global leader in medical devices based in Glasgow.

This person will be responsible for supporting the development and management of the risk management and post market surveillance processes.

The Role

In this Quality Engineer / Specialist role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide consultation and advice on risk related subjects
  • Support all risk processes and risk assessments
  • Develop risk management system, ensuring associated risk processes aligned with the requirements of ISO 14971
  • Develop and implement processes for effective assessment of design, process, post-market data and business risk
  • Develop and deploy a suite of risk assessment tools
  • Develop effective internal and external relationships
  • Participate in facility Internal Audit programme
  • Perform post-market surveillance reviews and co-ordinate any resulting actions
  • Conduct in-depth investigations as required

Your Skills

As a Quality Engineer / Specialist you must bring the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar position within a Quality environment ideally in medical devices with particular qualification or training experience in risk management or risk assessments
  • Experience of Medical Device Directive and related regulations, you must have working knowledge of ISO14971
  • You must have strong problem solving skills with the ability to work on your own initiative and manage priorities and deadlines
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills and have the ability to influence change.
