Here are 7 royals Meghan Markle gets along with and 5 she isn't exactly hanging out with in her spare time.

7. QUEEN ELIZABETH

Meghan Markle first met Queen Elizabeth II before Prince Harry even proposed. Meghan and the Queen were introduced back in September at Balmoral Castle, according to Harper's Bazaar. The meeting reportedly "went well" and even the prince was satisfied with how his then-girlfriend was getting along with the royal family. During her post-engagement interview, the former actress revealed, "It’s incredible. I think to be able to meet her through his lens, not just with his honor and respect for her as the monarch but the love that he has for her as his grandmother, all of those layers have been so important for me." Adding, "When I met her I had such a deep understanding and, of course, incredible respect for being able to have that time with her, and she’s an incredible woman."

Of course, her relationship will never be as "normal" as our relationships with our spouses' grandparents. For instance, Meghan, as well as everyone else in the country, will have to bow to the Queen whenever she greets her.

Apparently, though, the Queen's corgis absolutely adore Meghan, so that helps things as well. Dogs always know best. Prince Harry shared, "The corgis took to you straight away. For the last 33 years, I’ve been barked at, and this one walks in, absolutely nothing, just wagging tails." Meghan agreed, "Just laying on my feet during tea, it was very sweet."

6. PRINCE PHILLIP

Prince Phillip is the Duke of Edinburgh. He is also Queen Elizabeth II's husband, and that must be no easy feat. I mean, he is not the king. In fact, he had to fight hard for his royal title of "Prince." Phillip has been dutifully stood by Elizabeth's side since they wed back in the fall of 1947. Being married over 70 years is an amazing accomplishment. Prince Phillip is Harry's grandfather, and family means a lot to him. Meghan and Harry probably dream of having a marriage like his grandparents do.

With Meghan's parents being divorced and Harry tragically losing his mother, Princess Diana, at a young age, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip are the only examples for them of what a successful, loving, long-lasting relationship looks like.

Harry and Meghan were living in a charming cottage on the edge of Kensington Palace. The Nottingham Cottage has "one bathroom, two reception rooms, a kitchen, living room, and small garden out back," according to Cosmopolitan. Being in such close quarters with the Queen and Prince Phillip means that there has been plenty of time for them to spend time with each other and get to know Meghan before the wedding on May 19.

5. PRINCE CHARLES

Meghan Markle's family has certainly caused quite a spectacle up until the day of the royal wedding. Her siblings on her father's side were all trying to get their 15 minutes of fame, and her own father was accused of posing for photos for paparazzi for a profit. Following a health scare, Thomas Markle Sr. announced that he would not be attending his daughter's second wedding. The public immediately became concerned with who was going to walk the future Duchess of Sussex down the aisle, but luckily, Prince Charles volunteered.

According to Hello Magazine, Meghan and Prince Charles have formed a remarkably close bond, as was apparent when she was speaking about her new father-in-law during her wedding speech at the reception.

One of the main reasons being that he was so welcoming to her mother, Doria Ragland, as she was the only family member who was present at the royal wedding. Prince Harry and Meghan celebrated their first public appearance at Prince Charle's 70th birthday party in the garden at Buckingham Palace on the Tuesday following their Saturday wedding. Meghan stood with Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, while Harry gave an adoring speech about his father.

4. CAMILLA, DUCHESS OF CORNWALL

Speaking of the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla also seems to get along with Meghan Markle, too. On the day of Prince Charle's garden party after the royal wedding, Meghan was reportedly seen holding hands with Duchess Camilla, and the royal fans could not get enough, according to Harper's Bazaar. Camilla Parker Bowles is Prince Harry's step-mother and Meghan's new mother-in-law. She and Prince Charles got married back in 2005, which was eight years after he divorced Prince Harry's mother, Diana. She was reportedly enthusiastic upon hearing about the couple's engagement, according to People, she was "absolutely thrilled," saying, "America's loss is our gain."

Onlookers couldn't help but notice that Meghan stood with Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla while Prince Harry gave a birthday speech for his father. Now that she will be living in England full-time, Meghan won't be as close in proximity to her beloved mother, Doria, who lives back in California.

Fortunately, she seems to have a growing and loving relationship with Camilla. You do choose who you marry, but you cannot choose your in-laws. Meghan may be marrying into one strict, traditional family, but then again, she is also marrying a handsome prince, so things could be worse.

3. CATHERINE, DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE

Naturally, as soon as everyone found out about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's engagement, the comparisons between the former actress and Prince William's wife, Kate Middleton began. With Prince William and Duchess Kate's wedding being the first major wedding the immediate royal family has had in a while, so it was obviously a huge deal. However, Meghan Markle's wedding was a huge deal for different reasons — she is an American, she is a celebrity, and she is half-African American. Fortunately, it seems like Meghan and Kate are not paying any attention to the tabloid comparisons, and they seem to have a great relationship.

Kate and Meghan are the same age, and they will undoubtedly be spending a lot of time together now that the former actress is officially a duchess. Meghan did not choose Kate as her maid of honor, but, then again, she did not have any maid of honor.

Kate received a gold bracelet as a token of Meghan's appreciation before the wedding. According to People, "As a token of her appreciation, Meghan gifted six of her best friends — and new sister-in-law Kate Middleton! — with a solid gold disc bracelet." Costing around $450, the slim bracelet was designed by Zofia Day Co., which is a jewelry company based in Los Angeles.

2. PRINCE WILLIAM

Meghan Markle is Prince William's new sister-in-law. Harry is undoubtedly close to his brother and he loves that his new wife is getting along so well with him. According to People, Prince William was in a "jokey, wonderful mood" at Harry and Meghan's wedding reception on May 19. He and his wife, Kate, really let loose. A guest at the wedding commented, "He must have been relieved that it wasn't all about him."

William is, of course, elated that his brother has finally found happiness with someone as great as Meghan. As we all may recall, he definitely had his fair share of fun during his younger years — dating and partying up a storm. A wedding attendee revealed, "He is so proud of his brother." William and his wife, Kate, and Harry and his wife, Meghan, can double date and spend time away from their three children hanging out with the newly married couple. Markle and William were seen sharing some laughs at Prince William's father's birthday party in the garden at Buckingham Palace, according to Harper's Bazaar. The public was thrilled to see Meghan getting along so well with her new family members just days after the royal wedding.

1. PRINCE GEORGE

Prince George was chosen to be one of Meghan's page boys, or as we call them in America, ring bearers. The palace published the first official photos of Meghan Markle with Prince George from the royal wedding. The public could not get enough of Prince George beaming from ear to ear. He looked like he was thrilled to be a part of the special day. He basically took the spotlight in the wedding photos, grinning so wide he could barely contain himself. He sat beside his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, and his three-year-old sister, Princess Charlotte. He also posed for a sweet photo with Meghan and Kate and the rest of the page boys and flower girls.

With Meghan not being very close to her side of the family, it will probably be important for her to remain close to her nieces and nephews on Harry's side. With the family living on the grounds of Kensington Palace, Meghan surely got to know Prince George a bit more in the months leading up to the wedding. Plus, if and when she and Harry have children, surely, they will have a close relationship with their cousins. After all, Prince George is the future king of England, and he is going to have a lot of power one day.
