Think about living a life without having no one to love you.
Many elderly people live their lives alone. There are so many people who think when the old people lose their partners, their love life is over.
Most elderly widows and widowers don't feel that way.
Losing the love of your life and the partner that you spent most of your life with is devastating. But we must not forget that every grieving period has an expiry date.
Once the distress is over, they deserve to have someone in their life. They deserve a second chance at happiness.
If they look for a new partner, it doesn't mean they are cold or insensitive. It just means that they want somebody to live out the rest of their lives with.
When a 70-year-old woman lost her husband, she cried, grieved and mourned.
After a few years of living with the pain of losing love, she decided it is time to move forward in life. She decided that maybe it was time to find somebody new.
This 70-year-old widow wants to get married again. For that, she created a singles ad in the newspaper that goes viral.
Unlike most of the people who turn to the online dating website when they want a new partner, she chose the traditional way of advertising.
She didn't know much about the computers. Thus, she did it the way it was done when she was younger.
Before the days of the internet and online dating, people used to place a want ad in the newspaper. back then the print newspapers were the only way that people could get their news.
The woman wrote her ad and rewrote it, again and again, several times before deciding the ad was finally ready and conveyed everything she wanted to say.
This is what she said in her advertisement:
Husband Wanted!
Must be in my age group, must not beat me, must not run around on me and still be good in bed. All applicants please apply in person.
At the end of the advertisement, she added her address so that her potential suitors could come to her door so that she could make an immediate decision.
Her ad ran in the afternoon edition. By the next morning, her doorbell was already ringing.
She was in shock to see such a quick response.
The door rang and when she opened it, she saw something surprising.
The man at the door was a grey-haired man. He was in a wheelchair. She looked at the man and found he had no arms or legs.
The widow asked the man if he was serious about applying for the position of her future husband.
She reminded him that he had no arms and legs as if he needed to be reminded of that. The man didn't feel insulted or angry.
He looked at her and said, "Yes, you're correct. I've no legs and arms. Since I've no legs, I can't run around on you. Yes, I've no arms, but is that a bad thing? Without arms, I won't be able to beat you.
These are the things you mentioned in your ad. I can do more than make a promise not to run around on you or beat you."
The woman looked at her potential suitor and thought for a moment. She reminded him that the applicant would need to be good in the bed too.
She asked him how he could possibly be good in bed if he was in a wheelchair without arms and legs.
The man looked for just a moment and smiled and said, "I rang the doorbell. Didn't I?"
The woman looked at him and thought for a moment that the man had no arms, no legs, then how did he ring the doorbell.
After thinking for a minute, she looked down at his lap. She finally realized how he was able to ring the doorbell. She was shut.
I don't know if this story was real or fake. Oh man, it is hilarious.
Just the idea of a man with no arms and legs responding to a widow's ad for a husband and ringing the doorbell with his magic stick is freaking funny.
