The supporters of fluoride claim that it is protecting us from tooth decay. But is fluoride actually good for us? What is fluoride?

Fluoride is an element from the halogen group, as are chloride and iodide. It is generally added to the water supply to combat tooth decay in children. The initial studies were performed back in the 1940s in order to confirm fluoride’s effectiveness as an anti-cavity fighting element. Those conducted studies are now looked at as of poor scientific quality.

Today, dental fluorosis is recognized by scientists as one of the outcomes of fluoride poisoning.

There have been numerous discussions on whether fluoride leads to negative or positive effects, but newest studies have revealed that it is actually detrimental to your health. High fluoride levels have been found to lead to neurotoxicity in adults, and negative effects on the brain, memory and learning skills.

The Journal of Epidemiological & Community Health published a study which uncovered a link between fluoride and thyroid problems, which lead to depression and obesity.

Moreover, a compilation of 27 studies at the Harvard School of Public Health and China Medical University in Shenyang revealed strong evidence that fluoride negatively affects the cognitive development in children. Fluoride damages the pineal gland, interferes with the function of the thyroid, damages oral health, affects brain functions, damages bones and harms overall health.

With the whopping 60 percent mark, America is on top of the list in Fluoride consumption. In comparison, 97 percent of western Europe has rejected fluoridated water because of the proven health risks. Despite the peer-reviewed scientific evidence against it, fluoride is still added to 70 percent of U.S. public drinking water supplies.

Numerous people claim that bottled water doesn’t contain any fluoride. But a lot of the bottled waters do contain some fluoride. That’s right, many popular brands of bottled water have a known neurotoxin added to them.

The following list contains data provided by the International Bottled Water Association that you can use to make sure you’re not feeding fluoride to yourself and your family.
