Bruce Arians could return to the sidelines.

According to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Buccaneers are interested in the former Cardinals coach and the feeling is mutual. The two parties could meet soon, the report stated, citing an unidentified league source.

Sources: The #Bucs have real interest in former #AZCardinals coach Bruce Arians for their vacant head coach position, and the interest is mutual. The two could meet soon.

Arians has previously said the only coaching job he would take would be with the Browns. But, with the two-time NFL coach of the year spending much of his time in the CBS broadcast booth, he could be itching to get back on to the field.

Arians, 66, retired following the 2017 season after five years in Arizona and a stint in Indianapolis. He won his first NFL coach of the year honors as an interim coach in 2012 when then-Colts coach Chuck Pagano was battling cancer. Arians won the award again in 2014.

His trademark offensive style of throwing deep and using the long pass first could benefit Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston, who will be entering his fifth season in the league.
