It's Alabama vs. Clemson, and bookmakers really like the Crimson Tide.

BetChicago.com noted other books differed on the opening line. BetOnline had Alabama favored by 9, but that line was quickly bet down to 8. Other books opened with the Tide favored in the 5.5- to 6.5-point range.

The two 14-0 teams will meet for the championship for the third time in four years. Alabama won the national championship following the 2015 season, while Clemson won the matchup the following year. Alabama beat Georgia for the championship in January.

It's worth noting Alabama opened as the favorite at 7-4 in the preseason to win the championship, while Clemson opened second in the odds (4-1).
